Along the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos, many tribes still live a largely traditional life.  The Lisu, Lahu, Karen and Hmong tribes are the most prevalent, and can be found on both sides of the border. This area where Thailand, Myanmar and Loas meet – called the Golden Triangle – has been one of the most extensive opium-producing areas of the world since the 1950’s.
